Covenant Players is a professional theater company, fielding touring troupes
throughout the world. CP presents original theme-based plays written by founder
Charles M. Tanner, in service to the local leadership of schools,
churches, hospitals, social service groups, community and government organizations.
CP is a recognized religious and educational body organized exclusively
for charitable, religious and educational purposes under section 501(c)
(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986; State of California Charitable
Registration Number D-0626827; Federal I.D. 23-7186252.
CP is also a member of the California Association of Non-Profits.
Covenant Players has been in continuous operation since it was founded in September
29, 1963. The North American Headquarters is in Toledo, Ohio. Around 62 full-time
performing units serve in over 51 countries supported by principal offices located
in Germany, Britain, Colombia, Australia and South Africa. Members are drawn from
some 23 nationalities.
It is Covenant Players' policy to use gifts as designated by the donor in compliance
with all applicable federal, state and local laws. In order for your gift to qualify
as a charitable deduction on your taxes, please make checks payable to
Covenant Players. Gifts to projects will be used for the ministry of
the project designated, less administrative costs of no more than 10%. Gifts for
staff workers will be applied as designated. In the event that the project is
over-funded (which rarely happens), or the missioner for whom the support is designated
is no longer serving with Covenant Players, the donation will be used for the
ministry of that person and project most nearly approximating the designation.
