2008 Marathon and Swimathon

On August 3, 2008 Covenant Players participated in the San Francisco Marathon. Robin Goettl, Jordan Davis and Jay Zimmerman completed the full 26.2 mile course and Phil Ryan completed the Half-Marathon.
Earlier, on July 6, 2008, nineteen CPers participated in our annual Swim-A-Thon. This relay team swam 20.3 miles – that’s 716 laps! On the same weekend, six CPers fasted 26.2 hours in support of both the Swim and Marathon events.
These fundraisers contributed over $8,000.00 toward the expenses of CP’s North American Summer Training and Retreat. We are blessed by the support given by many friends and family across the country. Thank you!
